Greystone

Greystone was rescued in 2004 as a foal, just a few months old. He was destined to be sold to a dealer and likely sent straight to the slaughterhouse. His mother was in the hands of a farmer who impregnated her to then resell the foals. A kindhearted person took the mare and foal away and entrusted them to the care of the Flaminia da Filicaja Foundation, from which IHP originated a few years later. Greystone grew up with us, becoming a splendid horse, not only aesthetically but also and above all for his even and gentle temperament. He has always been accompanied by Rosso, who is almost his age. Over the years, their group has grown, with the addition of other rescued horses who have found a role model in Greystone. Panda in particular, who has become blind, relies primarily on him for orientation.
