Nina

Nina She has a story so unique it seems like a fairytale. At the end of June 2018, a couple of hikers were walking a trail in a pre-mountainous area in Tuscany, Calvana, home to small groups of wild horses. Suddenly, they heard noises coming from a small embankment and discovered a young filly just a few days old trapped in the brambles. After freeing her, they searched for her mother, but to no avail. Hours passed, and so, after consulting our veterinarian, they took her down to the valley, otherwise she would have died of starvation. After initial treatment and a few days of recovery, we welcomed her to the Recovery Center. As luck would have it, Grifo, the pony blind since birth, also arrived at the same time, along with his mother. Nina and Grifo are the same age: following their growth and their friendship day by day has been thrilling. She has become a splendid dark-coated mare, very friendly but also with a strong personality.
